A rainy Sunday during New York Fashion Week couldn’t stop the fashion it girls from showing up and showing out. All it called for was a chic umbrella, a rain-ready shoe, and a little creativity. The morning kicked off with Amari Carter before easing into Area, Magda Butrym, and our favorite Sergio Hudson, delivering enough glamour to last a lifetime.

After days of soaring temperatures, the rain was a welcome cool-down, but it also brought a fresh accessory moment to the streets. Some of our favorite looks included a sunny yellow umbrella carried by editor Kia Goosby, an extended hood worn by editor India Espy-Jones, and a silk scarf styled as a balaclava by stylist Becky Akinyode.

As the rain eventually peeled away and the sun returned, editors and creators quickly adjusted their looks for the changing forecast. Sleeveless tops, sheer skirts, mini skirts, and breezy layers came out, while others leaned into the season’s favorite styling trick: layering. Hats were paired with tees, leather jackets were thrown over lighter pieces, and guests embraced the in-between weather by adding and shedding layers throughout the day to stay comfortable without sacrificing style.

Consider this your lesson in dressing for transitional weather. Scroll ahead to see the best street style from Day Three of New York Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2027 season.
